About Josie

I believe that every person has the innate ability to move toward health and healing, and has the capacity to achieve it. My approach is to work in partnership with clients to identify what their goal is and how they want to approach making changes. In my experience, psychotherapy has the potential to change learned pattern responses, resolve traumatic events, and heal destructive relational patterns. I have been inspired by the power of Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) in working with complex trauma, relational and attachment traumas, grief, anxiety and depression. In all of my training, EMDR has proven the most effective and comprehensive model of therapy for healing.

I am certified in EMDR, an EMDRIA Approved Consultant, and EMDR Institute and TRN/HAP Facilitator. I am a trainer for the Trauma Recovery Network/Humanitarian Assistance Program (TRN/HAP) in treating recent traumatic events with individuals and groups. I have advanced trainings in EMDR, body-oriented psychotherapy, multi-phased trauma treatment, attachment, narrative therapy, hypnosis, couples, family, and Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD).
